DIVERSITY COMMITTEE
The purpose of the Diversity Committee is to discuss ways to make our school community welcoming and accepting of all families and differences in our school community. The Committee’s vision is: "... to educate every child in a safe and secure environment while valuing, respecting, and supporting all members of our diverse community." The Diversity Committee is open to all interested parents and teachers in the Thornhill School community. Contact our Diversity chair, Ei-Lun Yokomizo, at diversity@thornhillschool.org to learn more and get involved.
GARDENING AT THORNHILL
Our outdoor garden spaces provide an excellent environment for Thornhill students to enjoy hands-on learning of biology and ecology, and to gain understanding of our food sources and how to nurture, respect, and enjoy them. Garden instruction is integrated with our science program and is part of our sustainability efforts to make our school more environmentally and ecologically conscious, greener, and more beautiful. Email our Garden Program Teaching Volunteer, Alexis Lavine at garden@thornhillschool.org to learn more and volunteer!

SUSTAINABILITY COMMITTEE AND GREEN TEAM
The goal of the Sustainability & Green Team committee is to share ideas and raise awareness school-wide about how we can reduce waste as a community. Known as the Green Team, parent volunteers from every grade promote and support our Green Gloves program—which includes our garden, compost, recycling, solar, green fundraising, and other Clean and Green initiatives. All parents are welcome to participate, and we hold several community events throughout the year such as our Fall and Spring Sweeps. Email our Sustainability Chair, Elyse Bart, at sustainability@thornhillschool.org to learn more and volunteer!

THORNHILL DADS CLUB
The Dads Club gives parents an opportunity to get involved in the school by creating community events with lasting impact, to leave a legacy. The club organizes and runs events (i.e., pancake breakfast, chili cook-off, A’s tailgate party, movie nights, etc.), supports the PFC and other school activities when needed (i.e., setup, cooking, cleanup, volunteer needs, trade expertise, etc.), supports our kids, and meets to socialize. To find out more about how you can get involved, e-mail our Dads Club chairs, Hunter Tuck and Jeran Wittenstein at dadsclub@thornhillschool.org.
